Steven Richter is the Director of Finance for Bionic Prosthetics & Orthotics Group. Mr. Richter has experience working in public accounting, banking, manufacturing, healthcare & service firms.

Steve's career started at Crowe, Chizek & Company, CPA’s (now CROWE), a top 10 public accounting firm, where he provided accounting, audit, consulting and tax services. While there, he specialized in financial institutions, and developed an expertise in Loan Administration and Control. After Crowe, he became the VP and Controller at NorCen Bank, where he chaired the Loan and Asset/Liability management committees in addition to his financial and regulatory reporting responsibilities.

As Vice President & General Manager of a manufacturing plant (Weiss Prestain) Steve honed his people, production system, negotiation, and customer service skills. At Weiss, the Production, Sales, Finance, HR, Materials Management, and Maintenance departments reported to Steve. During this time, the recession was devastating the home building industry, and Steve's cash management abilities were developed and tested as he negotiated, and dealt with the requirements of bankers, factors, vendors, and customers. He was also the Controller for a government contract manufacturer, where in addition to managing the accounting, HR and Administrative functions, he created and maintained bills of material, and led the selection and implementation of an ERP system.

Including 2 years with Bionic, Steve has over 8 years of experience in the healthcare industry, working for, and consulting with hospital, home health care, physician practice, and healthcare receivable management organizations.

Steve has hands-on experience creating and maintaining financial, human resource, operational, and compliance systems and controls.

Steve received his Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting & Business Administration from Manchester College in 1980. He obtained his CPA certification in 1983.
