Emily Shannon is a certified prosthetist and orthotist working in the Charlotte, NC clinic. Born and raised in Charlotte, she attended Duke University as an undergraduate where she majored in biomedical engineering and stumbled upon the O&P field through a 3D printing club. After exploring the field more, she decided to apply to graduate school and attended the University of Pittsburgh where she earned her MSPO. She then completed her combined residency in Houston, TX before moving back to NC to be closer to family.

Emily is passionate about working with pediatrics and is particularly interested in scoliosis and cranial remolding orthoses. She also has experience working with both adults and children recovering from brain and spinal cord injuries in a neurological rehabilitation setting. Outside of work, she enjoys rediscovering her hometown and spending time with her rescue dog.
