Douglas LeClair is a Certified Orthotist working out of our Winston-Salem clinic. Doug went to college at Minnesota State University, Mankato where he graduated with a degree in physical education non-teaching. After getting his degree, he enrolled at Century college in Minnesota to complete his orthotic education. Next, Doug started working at Shriner’s Hospital for children in Minnesota for his first 5 years in the field and moved to Pittsburgh to work with both pediatric and adult patients for the next 5 years. He then moved down to Winston-Salem, NC where he has been working since 2013.

What Doug enjoys about the field most is working with pediatric patients and helping them achieve the goals they and their families have for them. Doug feels the field allows him to not only use what he learned in school and being an Eagle Scout to help his community, but also to work with his hand to create something that will be used to improve the quality of life for people around him. He works hard to help his pediatric patients be able to play and be like their peers.

In his free time, Doug enjoys spending time with his family, playing sports, and taking long walks on the beach at sunset.
