Resident Responsibilities
Patient Evaluations
Conduct and document detailed patient evaluations with increasing independence over the program.
Device Fitting & Delivery
Fit, align, and deliver prosthetic and orthotic devices, progressively taking the lead under supervision.
Fabrication
Assist in plaster model modifications, CAD software use, and full device assembly in our fabrication lab.
Coding & Documentation
Learn justification and coding protocols for prescribed O&P devices and insurance documentation.
Policy Adherence
Uphold company policies on patient privacy, clinical ethics, and quality of care protocol.
Educational Participation
Participate in outreach, in services, CEU events, and manufacturer training opportunities.
Administrative Support
Support administrative staff with insurance claims, prior authorizations, and compliance tasks.
Community Outreach
Represent Bionic at community events, referral partner meetings, and clinical in-services.
Jeff Wojtanowicz, CPO Residency Program Director
Regional Manager, Illinois | National Residency Program Director
Jeff is a certified prosthetist and orthotist with over a decade of clinical experience, specializing in upper and lower limb prosthetics and complex orthotics. He served as Bionic's very first resident, which laid the foundation for the company's formal program. After completing his residency, Jeff took the lead in developing and launching the program as its Director. He now works closely with Bionic's 10+ annual residents, ensuring each is matched with the mentors and clinical teams best suited to their individual growth and long-term goals.

Our 5,000 sq. ft. fabrication facility in Merrillville, IN is a premier setting for students interested in the technical and manufacturing side of prosthetics and orthotics. Business focused students can explore roles in administration, HR, billing, marketing, and account management at our Business & Enrichment Center.
Clinical & Patient Care
Shadow and assist ABC certified prosthetists and orthotists in patient evaluations, device fittings, and follow up care across Bionic's clinic network. Ideal for O&P, PT, OT, and kinesiology students.
Lab & Fabrication
Gain real hands on experience inside Bionic's state of the art 5,000 sq. ft. fabrication facility in Merrillville, IN working through plaster modifications, CAD work, device assembly, and 3D printing.
