Allen Johnson, CPOA
Resident Prosthetic & Orthotic
Allen Johnson joined the Bionic team as a Certified Prosthetic & Orthotic Assistant working at the Green Bay and Appleton offices to complete his Residency in both Prosthetics and Orthotics. He has a Bachelor of Science from Metropolitan State University in Minnesota. He began working in the field as a technician while starting his Prosthetic and Orthotic education at Century College in Minnesota. He then worked as a Prosthetic and Orthotic Assistant while attending Concordia University, St. Paul, to earn his Master of Science in Prosthetics and Orthotics. He loves working with patients to collaborate and come up with unique ways to help them achieve their goals. Some of his interests are sport adaptive prostheses, as well as working with upper extremity prosthetic patients or prosthetic patients with multi-limb involvement. He has done volunteer work with Wiggle Your Toes at their mobility clinics to help patients get more active and try sports components for their prostheses. He also volunteers with a regional chapter of the American Academy of Orthotists and Prosthetists, as research and continuing education are important issues to him.
When he out of the office, Allen spends most of his time with family or friends and his two dogs. He loves getting out into nature for a hike or paddle, playing games, reading, traveling, building computers, getting out to a show or sporting event, or tinkering on his latest project.
