Mattie McKee is a dedicated and passionate professional in the field of prosthetics and orthotics. She obtained her Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering from North Carolina State University and her Master's degree in Prosthetics and Orthotics from the University of Pittsburgh. Recently, Mattie joined Bionic as a clinical resident, eager to continue her education and career in this impactful field.
Mattie’s introduction to prosthetics and orthotics was deeply personal. When a family member underwent a lower limb amputation, she was inspired by the transformative impact of their first prosthetic, which enabled them to walk again. This experience ignited her passion for the field. During her undergraduate studies, Mattie volunteered at a prosthetic clinic in Quito, Ecuador, solidifying her commitment to this career path.
Mattie is dedicated to helping others regain their independence and mobility, providing them with the tools to live their lives without limitations. She finds great fulfillment in seeing her patients improve and thrive.
Outside of her professional pursuits, Mattie enjoys playing pickleball, hiking, skiing, and spending time with her dog. She values staying active and appreciates the balance these activities bring to her life.
