Riley Cruse

Resident

Riley Cruse's journey into the realm of Orthotics and Prosthetics is a testament to her passion for improving lives through innovation and compassionate care. Graduating from Purdue University Northwest with a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering in 2022 laid the groundwork for her future endeavors. Building upon this foundation, she furthered her education at Northwestern University, where she earned a Master’s degree in Orthotics and Prosthetics.

Riley's introduction to Bionic began in 2021 when she embarked on a journey of shadowing, eager to immerse herself in the intricacies of the field. Her dedication and enthusiasm led her to assume the role of Orthotic and Prosthetic Assistant in July of the same year, even as she diligently pursued her undergraduate degree. Though she briefly departed in December 2022 to focus on her studies, her passion drew her back to Bionic in January 2021, where she continues to contribute as she prepares for her upcoming residency.

Outside of her professional pursuits, Riley finds joy and fulfillment in her active lifestyle. A passionate volleyball player, she regularly competes in competitive leagues and eagerly participates in tournaments whenever the opportunity arises. Additionally, she cherishes annual camping trips with her family, particularly their beloved tradition of embarking on a yearly canoe expedition. In quieter moments, Riley finds solace in the pages of a good book, indulging her love for reading, or unwinds by engaging in leisurely games.
