Kevin is a below the knee amputee due to an industrial accident. At the time, a friend, who is a certified orthotist, suggested to Kevin that he should go back to school and get his certification to become a prosthetist. Kevin had great support from family and friends, which helped him succeed. He sees being a prosthetist as a way to help others get back on their feet and pass along some of the support that he had after his injury. He earned his degree and has been ABC certified in prosthetics for 25 years. He continues to learn more everyday and enjoys the challenges with the work.
