Kyndall Mayer
Resident Prosthetist and Othotist
Kyndall Mayer earned her Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science with a minor in Biology from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington in 2022. She went on to receive her Master of Science in Prosthetics and Orthotics from the University of Pittsburgh in 2025.
Kyndall’s journey into the field began during her junior year of college, when she started shadowing at a locally owned prosthetics and orthotics clinic. It was there that she discovered her passion for the emotional connections formed with patients—along with a bonus perk: the owners’ Great Danes, who served as emotional support dogs and daily companions.
She joined Bionic Prosthetics and Orthotics as an intern in early 2025 and now continues with the team as a resident. Kyndall enjoys combining the creative and biomechanical aspects of the profession with meaningful patient interactions.
Outside of work, she loves being outdoors—whether it’s walking, running, gardening, or trying new activities like disc golf, pickleball, or yoga. Fun fact: Kyndall grew up on a small farm with chickens, goats, horses, and pigs, and she’s always happiest in hot, sunny weather.
